Amidst the fierce competition, four teams have emerged as top contenders. Hosts India, five-time ODI World Cup champions Australia, previous edition’s runners-up New Zealand, and the Temba Bavuma-led South African team are all set to battle for the prestigious title. The first semifinal, featuring an undefeated Indian team against New Zealand, replicates their previous encounter in the 2019 edition’s semifinals.

The second semifinal sees Australia facing South Africa in what promises to be a thrilling encounter. The grand finale is scheduled for November 19, expected to draw a massive crowd and global attention. The prize money for this year’s tournament, announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC), stands at a staggering USD 10 million.

The champions will receive USD 4 million, while the runners-up will be awarded USD 2 million. Moreover, each win during the round-robin stage was rewarded with USD 40,000, adding an extra incentive for the teams. This tournament not only showcases the pinnacle of cricketing talent but also highlights the significant financial stakes involved, driving teams to deliver their utmost on the field.
